The tutor recruitment process

We interview all tutor applicants to check their identification, qualifications and suitability for tutoring.

If a tutor does not have an Enhanced Disclosure Scotland certificate we seek one from the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB).

We seek two references - one academic and one academic / employment.

If any of these steps are not completed satisfactorily we will not register the applicant.

The tutor selection process

Once you are registered we search our tutor database for the most suitable tutor. We select the tutor based on the level of tuition you require, the personal approach of the tutor and area the tutor is willing to tutor within.

After we have selected the most suitable tutor we contact the tutor to check their availability.

If they are available then we will contact you, the parent/ tutee, to give you their personal details. If you are satisfied with the tutors profile you can expect a phone call from the tutor within 48 hours to arrange a time and place for tuition.

We will then regularly contact you, the parent/ tutee, to ensure you are satisfied by the standard of tuition you are receiving.
