1. How will prospective students contact me?

Mathminds will call and/or email you to offer you tutoring opportunities.


2. How do I commence tutoring?

After receiving the parent / students contacts details you should email to arrange a time and place for tuition. After which you should call Mathminds to update us.


3. How many hours do I require to work?

You can work from as little as 1 hour to full-time hours; it is entirely your decision.


4. How do I change my profile?

Once you are registered simply email any changes to administrator@mathminds.co.uk with "change of details" in the subject line. We will then send you back a confirmation within 24 hours of receiving the email .


5. How do I pay the fees due to Mathminds?

As all tutors work on a self-employed basis to assist with record keeping a timesheet will be provided by Mathminds to be taken to each tuition session to be signed by the tutee or their parent.

The accumulated fees for the month should be paid by cheque, payable to Mathminds.*

A copy of the timesheet and payment by cheque, payable to Mathminds, should be sent by post to Mathminds by the 10th day of every month.

*Alternatively payment can be made by BACs by the 10th day of every month.


6. Do I need a CRB check to be a tutor?

Yes, anyone working with minors under the age of 18 requires an Enhanced Disclosure Scotland certificate. If you do not have a disclosure which is less than 3 years old please request one from us.


7. What qualifications do I need to be a tutor?

A minimum of a degree or a Teaching qualification in the subject you intend to tutor.


8. Do you employ tutors?

No, all tutors work on a self-employed basis.
